China’s anti-dumping tariffs on chemicals from Taiwan, Malaysia, US
China’s Commerce Ministry said on Friday it will implement anti-dumping tariffs on some chemical products imported from Taiwan, Malaysia and the United States from Dec. 29.
The product is 1-Butanol, an organic intermediate used for making paints and plasticizer, the ministry said in a statement posted on its website.
The tax rate will vary depending on the supplier. Tax rates of 6 percent and 56.1 percent will apply to products from Taiwan; 12.7 percent and 26.7 percent on supplies sourced from Malaysia; 52.2 percent and 139.3 percent on imports from the U.S.
The anti-dumping tariffs last for 5 years.
